Overview
CV Yard ("we", "us", or "our") is a resume management service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our website and related API or MCP integrations.
Information we collect
- Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. If you use Google sign-in, we receive basic profile information from Google as permitted by your account settings.
- Resume content: We store the resumes you create, including titles, templates, styling preferences, version history, and the content you enter in the editor.
- API access: If you create personal access tokens, we store a hashed token, token name, scopes, expiration, and usage metadata such as last-used timestamps.
- Activity logs: We may record audit events related to API and MCP actions (for example, resume updates or exports) to operate the service and maintain security.
- Technical data: Our infrastructure providers may process standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, and request metadata needed to deliver the service.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve CV Yard
- Authenticate you and secure your account
- Store and sync your resume data across sessions and devices
- Enable API and MCP integrations you authorize
- Detect abuse, troubleshoot issues, and protect the service
- Communicate with you about your account or important service changes
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We use third-party providers for hosting, authentication, and database services (including Supabase) to operate CV Yard. They process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
- Integrations you enable: When you connect an external client via API or MCP using a token you created, that client can access resume data within the scopes you granted.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the service.
Data retention
We retain your account and resume data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or specific content, we delete or anonymize associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for security, legal, or backup purposes.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, access controls, and hashed storage for API tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- You can update or delete resume content from within the app.
- You can revoke API tokens at any time from Settings.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by contacting us.
Children's privacy
CV Yard is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
